Stainless Steel Bolts
Stainless steel bolts are used in conjunction with a female thread that’s either a tapped thread or nut. Stainless steel bolts are also often used with washers to hold two objects together. The stainless steel bolts “stretch” as the nut is tightened along the bolt’s thread. The bolt applies a clamping force on the two objects holding them together. If the nut is over tightened, it can cause the thread to strip. Tightening torques can vary slightly depending upon the application.
